György Bodoky

is Head of the Oncology Department at the South-Pest Centrum Teaching Hospital in Budapest, Hungary.

After graduating from the Semmelweis Medical University in Budapest and working in the surgical department until 1989, he received a Research Fellowship from the New York State University in Syracuse, NY, USA. He was appointed Assistant Professor of Surgery in 1984 and of Critical Care and Emergency Medicine in 1988 at the Semmelweis University, and Assistant Professor of Clinical Oncology at the National Institute of Oncology, Budapest in 1991.

Bodoky’s major field of research interest is therapeutic trials for clinical gastrointestinal oncology. He has been or currently is the principal investigator in 135 clinical trials. In addition to publishing >500 peer reviewed articles in international renowned journals, Prof. Bodoky has been the chief editor of the Hungarian edition of the “Journal of Clinical Oncology” and a board member of the “Journal of Metabolism and Nutrition” as well as several Hungarian oncological journals.

Bodoky is member of ASCO, ESMO and ESPEN. He is also the Honorary President of the Hungarian Society of Clinical Oncology (HSCO). He is a member of the Swiss Group for Clinical Cancer Research (SAKK) and a founding member of South-Eastern European Research Oncology Group (SEEROG). He was invited to be a member of the ARCAD Foundation (Academic Research on Cancer for Answers and Directions)

Research work is based on clinical practice in the fields of medical oncology and radiotherapy with special interest in breast and cervical cancer. Leader of the Breast Unit of the University of Szeged, Hungary, with several inventions.

Leader of national and international research and development grants, principal investigator in several human clinical trials, has numerous coperations in the field of translational research and precision medicine. Author of almost 300 publications, a few book chapters and 2 books.

Gabriela Fabian

Judit Lazarne Olah

is University Professor at Department of Dermatology and Allergology, University of Szeged, Hungary where she is Head of the Division of Dermato-Oncology and Head of the Interdisciplinary Skin Tumour Board. Professor Olah was board certified in Dermatology and Venerology in 1990 and in Medical Oncology in 1998. She was awarded her PhD in 2003, and her DSc in 2016 specializing in the analysis of prognostic and risk factors of skin tumours and melanoma. As a leader clinician she currently oversees the treatment and follow-up of more than 4000 patients with melanoma in South Hungary. She is also active in gradual and post-gradual education.  Several times she served as an invited speaker at national and international dermatologic and oncologic meetings. During her carrier she has authored 5 book chapters and 79 articles with a cumulative impact factor of 80.8 , Hirsch-index: 15. She has been a principal investigator in several clinical trials in melanoma and other skin tumour subjects within oncology. Currently Professor Olah is the President of the Oncological Section of the Hungarian Dermatological Society and she is a board member of the European Association of Dermatologic Oncology (EADO).
